What is a Nurse Practitioner?
A Nurse Practitioner is a registered nurse (RN) who has received advanced education and training in a health care specialty.Our Nurse Practitioners practice under the rules and regulations of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Florida, and many nurse practitioners are nationally certified.They are recognized as expert health care providers.
Nurse practitioners routinely:
Obtain medical histories
Diagnose and treat health problems
Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies
Prescribe medications
Collaborate and consult with other physicians and health care professionals
Ms. Dankel has served as Practice Manager for Pulmonary Disease Specialists, PA, since June of 1999. She has brought over 20 years of Healthcare Management experience to our practice. In addition to actively managing and coordinating staff for our 5 office locations, she monitors and updates our computerized patient charting and charging network.
Our staff will always put your needs first. We work to make your experience and visit a pleasant one, from your first call to our office through your actual office appointment. We will bill your insurance carrier for your convenience, and coordinate referrals to other physicians, if needed.
